Organizing Your Projects on Milanote
Milanote is like having a digital bulletin board with infinite space—you can create boards that contain as many lists and cards as you need. For example, when we plan a photoshoot or video shoot, we create individual boards with separate lists for each step in the process (e.g., “moodboard”; “equipment rental list”; “scheduling models/talent”). The cards within the lists contain notes and tasks related to those steps—so if we need to rent lights from one vendor and camera equipment from another vendor, we can easily put both vendors on the same list for comparison purposes. Having everything in one place helps us quickly compare different options without sifting through countless emails or notes written down on random scraps of paper. Plus it helps us keep everyone on the same page about who is responsible for which tasks at any given moment!
Creating Visuals with Milanote
Milanote also lets us take our project planning one step further by adding visuals such as images and videos directly onto our boards. This especially comes in handy when creating content calendars or storyboards; instead of simply describing what needs to be done in writing or verbally over the phone, we can actually show our clients exactly what they should expect out of their project with visuals right there on their board! Not only does this make communication easier between us and our clients (no more miscommunications!), but it also gives them peace of mind knowing they won’t be disappointed when they receive their finished product. And since everything lives together on one board instead of scattered across various documents or emails, it’s easy for everyone involved to look back at past projects whenever needed.
