Case Study — Brand, Web, Content & Google Ads
Advance Auto
Glass Co.
How a Columbia, South Carolina auto glass shop went head-to-head with the national chains — with a brand people trust and a Google Ads engine that turns urgent searches into booked jobs.
The Client
Meet Advance Auto Glass
Advance Auto Glass Co. is Columbia’s home-grown alternative to the national chains — windshield repair and replacement, mobile service that comes to your driveway or office, ADAS camera calibration, and glass work done the right way instead of the fast way.
Auto glass is the definition of an urgent-need business: nobody plans for a cracked windshield. The customer searches once, calls once, and books once. Advance has trusted Maintain Digital to own that moment in the Columbia market since 2016 — a partnership now in its tenth year, and still compounding.
The Challenge
Beating the Big Chains at Their Own Game
In auto glass, one national brand dominates the search results, the insurance referrals, and the airwaves. A local independent doesn’t win that fight with a bigger budget — it wins with a sharper brand, a faster website, and smarter advertising that shows up at the exact moment a windshield cracks.
Our mandate: make Advance look and feel like the premium local choice, then build a paid search machine that captures demand the moment it exists — profitably, measurably, month after month.
Creative
Branding & Identity
We built the Advance identity to feel like precision work: a bold mark, an industrial black-and-charcoal foundation, and a signal-orange accent that cuts through — on the shop, the vans, the uniforms, and every ad. It’s a look that says certified specialists, not corner-cutting chain store.
Trust is the entire sale in auto glass. The brand does that work before the phone ever rings.

Web Design
Built to Convert an Emergency
A cracked windshield is a now problem, so the website is engineered for speed to contact: instant quote paths, tap-to-call everywhere, clear service pages for repair, replacement, mobile service, and ADAS calibration — all wrapped in the brand’s premium look. This is the live site:
Content
Photo & Video
Every image on the site and in the ads is Advance’s real team doing real installs — shot by us. Professional photography and video make a local shop look like the market leader, and give every campaign, service page, and blog post imagery the chains can’t match.

A Partnership That Performs
The Results
Urgent-need marketing either works or it doesn’t — the phone tells you every day. Ten years into the partnership, the numbers keep moving one direction: since upgraded CRM tracking launched in 2024, every figure below comes straight from the CRM and the ad platform.

Where the Leads Come From
HubSpot CRM — new contacts by original source, January 2024 – August 27, 2026
Paid search is the engine — and the chart above only shows the recent chapter. Across the full life of the account, Google Ads has produced more than 14,700 conversions at an average cost of $27 each, in a market where a single windshield replacement is worth many times that. And direct traffic — people typing in the name because they know the brand — is the second-largest source and growing, which is what a real brand does.
